S MUN will simulate the work of:
Human Rights: - Human rights of immigrants - Refugees and asylum seekers.
Security Council: - Europe's refugee crisis.
International Court of Justice: - The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia v. Greece: Application of the Interim Accord of 13 September 1995. (name dispute)
SMUN "Students' Model United Nations banja Luka 2015. conference organized by Students' club of Political Science Faculty Banja Luka, in partnership with Center for Democratic Initiatives, Banja Luka, Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and “Center for Studies of National Development” from Belgrade, Serbia and that aims to simulate the work of UN bodies and to, by doing that, educate and prepare young students from all over the world regardless of their current studies for service in diplomacy and to promote and share values of informal education and the importance of understanding decision making process used by UN. The main goal of the conference is the encouragement of networking within the future decision makers.
Conference will take place in Banja Luka, and it will last from 22th to 25th of the October this year. SMUN will simulate the work of International Court of Justice, UN Security Council, Human Rights Council and Press Committee.
In order to be considered eligible to apply, you must fulfill all of the following criteria:
be between the ages of 18 and 35 years old on 22 October 2015
possesing intermediate level of English language
hold a passport valid until at least April 2016
interesting in the field of diplomacy, international relations, international law or journalism
It is planned that the maximum number of participants in the simulation is 80. The final list, which will contain the names and surnames of the participants and accurately determined the number will be available to participants and to all contributors and interested individuals and legal entities, in October 2015, the sites of The Student's Club of Faculty of Political Science, Banja Luka, Center for Democratic Initiatives, Banja Luka and the Center for Studies National Development in Belgrade. If the additional needs of the participants are identified during the preparation for the simulation, there is a possibility of extension to a particular task.
